Thinking that your space needs acoustical treatments? Many do. Some may add panels and trapping just to say they have it installed. Others understand the need, tested their room(s) for frequency targets and developed an overall plan to condition the acoustic environment.

So it is with the following video. This is a rather reverberant room. Add enough bodies and the ring may go down some, but the tall overhead ceiling still let's the vibration of the target frequencies live on for a moment longer then is sonically desirable.

If you are not certain what to expect from properly treating an acoustic space, this video is for you. You have a sound field in the before and after treatments, that can help to understand better what to expect from something as simple as panel absorption and broad band bass trapping.
